St. Augustine Film Festival 2021
Dates, schedule, and films for the St. Augustine Film Festival 2021 are TBA. The information on this page is from the Film Festival in 2020. We will update this page as soon as details are released.
Updated on January 20, 2020.
The St. Augustine 2021 Film Festival is a four-day festival in which foreign films, independent films, and documentaries are played daily at three of the city’s beautiful theaters. However, unlike an opening weekend at a big box office, you won’t see any films created by Spielberg or Hitchcock headlining the festival. This festival is made possible by founding sponsors Barbara and Arnold Grevior, and is part of the Broward County Film Society, Inc.
Date: 2021
Time: Various times
Website: St. Augustine Film Festival
Locations:
- Lewis Auditorium
- Gamache-Koger Theater (AKA the Ringhaver Student Center)
- Three viewing rooms at The Corazon Cinema and Café
From a documentary about the Florida native Gamble Rogers to a suspenseful film about East Germany during the Cold War to a comedy about a discontent English women, the festival’s movie lineup certainly gains the interests of a variety of people. Although it’s main goal is to deliver entertainment to attendees, they also aspire to shine a light and close the gap between cultures that are vastly different from one another. In fact, the festival’s mission is to “provide a rich cultural experience to the public that highlights the skills of independent and foreign filmmakers and offers fresh insights into different cultures, the common bonds that link us, and the emotional art of storytelling.”
Film Festival ‘After’ Parties
Along with a lineup of fantastic films, the Film Festival also hosts three ‘after’ parties. During this time, attendees are invited to mingle and discuss the films with producers, directors, writers, and actors. Each party features food as well as an activity such as the Opening Night Film or a tour of the Nights of Lights. However, only some of the parties feature complimentary cocktails/beer/wine or an open bar. Furthermore, the only way to attend any or all three parties is to purchase an All-Access ticket.
Passes and Tickets
Film Festival-goers may choose from several ticket options including badges (which allow you to watch some or all films), as well tickets for individual films. Additionally, once badge holders and pre-ordered ticket holders have entered the theater, all remaining seats will be sold to the public on a first-come, first-served basis before the showing of the film.
Online Tickets: Individual, online tickets are only available for film showings at Lewis Auditorium. The cost is $10 per ticket or $8 for military, seniors, and students.
